February 14, 1965, Green Valley Raceway, Texas - the "Hawk", Ken Miles flies GT 350 SFM5R-002 for a racing photo that became famous as a P.R. photo for Shelby American and helped establish the prominence of the Shelby GT 350 among enthusiasts. The original GT 350 prototype and development platform or "mule", 5R-002 amassed an impressive record of wins during its tenure as a Shelby American team car. In 1989, 5R-002 was found near Monterrey, Mexico where it had been stored in an open-air shed for 16 years. 2002 Commemorative Shelby American Collection Museum Poster. Original Printings.
