pull down will be completely rebuilt to have rock solid reliability for years of extreme climate conditions using our high quality rebuilding standards. The rebuilt product will be shipped back to you within 2-3 business days and includes free expedited return shipping.
The dropdown menus on this listing allows a customer the option to purchase a replacement plastic motor housing upfront. The motor housing is the clear plastic piece that holds the blue or white grease. We try to salvage the plastic housings as best as we can but if the housing has deep structural cracks and/or splits all the way through the plastic a replacement is recommended.
The rebuilding price is .99 if we do not have to replace the plastic parts
The prices for replacement plastic motor housings will vary between motor styles
The part number on the metal casing of the motor is the best way to choose the correct replacement housing
Replacement housings are pre-ordered so the part is there for when your pull down arrives at the shop
If you choose to use or repair the original plastic housing the structural integrity is not guaranteed
Used housings may have minor flaws that are not structurally threatening
If you are not sure we can check for you and bill for a replacement housing later if needed

We apologize if you were looking to purchase a rebuilt replacement pull down. The Cadillac Allante convertible roof pull down assembly is unique and very difficult to replace unlike trunk pull down devices. We do not have the resources to sell them outright with core exchanges. We do recommend that you exercise some savvy when shopping in the rebuilt category as it is very easy to find yourself not getting the long term product that you paid for. Many competitors do not deliver the high quality that

does. In an effort to turn a higher volume only minimum repairs are made and no time is invested into deconstruction, inspection, and rebuilding of all the internal electrical parts. In turn the customer is left with non-rebuilt part assemblies and hidden issues inside the electronics.
If your pull down is not working or experiencing intermittent operation before you start slamming the roof to  bypass the problem take advantage of our service to rebuild your existing pull down.
Slamming the roof will crush the discontinued parts and eventually shear the tip of the latch assembly or snap the motor from the bracket leaving you with expensive damage to the pull down and a roof that will not close properly
