Stunning deep art glass bowl in the shape of a leaf
with leaf texture and veins on the outside. Inside of the bowl is smooth.
Stem handle extends out naturally from the bowl.
Bears green Orrefors label. No signature.
Excellent condition. No chips, cracks or scratches.
A couple of bubbles in the crystal itself from time of production.
Gently used, if at all.

Lars Hellsten
(b. 1933) is one of Scandinavia's finest glass designers.
He studied sculpture at the College of Arts,
Crafts and
Design
in Stockholm. Hellsten was a designer at Skrufs glassworks from
1964 to 1972 and from 1972 at Orrefors glassworks.
Nature
inspires
his art glass, including many grand pieces well suited for public settings
such as hotels and hospitals.
Hellsten's work is displayed
at the
National Museum in Stockholm.
His glass is characteristically massive
and forceful, whether it is cast,
mold-blown or free-blown.
