    Description

From the early 1980's to the mid 1990's, DOD Electronics, arguably the first boutique pedal brand, made more than 85 different FX series guitar and bass pedals, and sold 100's of thousands of them. Today, these pedals are sought after by players and collectors. However . . .
All DOD FX pedals suffer from three issues:
The battery door is easily lost, leaving a hole in the back of the pedal.
Except in some later FX pedals, a 1/8" mini plug power connector was used, which requires an adapter cable to connect to standard pedalboard power connectors (Boss style, 9V negative center barrel plugs).
The power input is located on the side of the pedal, which interferes with routing signal cables.
    Our new ART-BILT
    TM
DOD FX Battery Compartment Cover solves these issues:
    It can't be lost
. A slot in the cover is captured by the rectangular hole in the pedal. No pedal modifications and completely reversible.
    Built-in standard power connector
. Eliminates the need for an adapter cable.
    Simplifies signal cable routing.
Pedal power now relocated to the back of the pedal.
    The ART-BILT
    TM
cover is CNC machined from a solid block of tough ABS plastic and is virtually unbreakable. Stronger and better looking than 3D printed replicas. Designed and made in the USA. Patent-Applied-For (PAF).
Quick and Easy 5 minute installation:
    (see listing photos).
Printed instructions are included with your order
    .
Use a #2 Phillips screwdriver to remove the 4 screws on the pedal's bottom plate.
Remove the black plastic 9V battery box. (If the battery cable goes through the battery box, you can cut out the box or keep it.)
Clip the two battery connectors together.
Slide the ART-BILT cover into the pedal. The "up" arrow engraved on the back of the cover points to the top of the pedal.
The cover's slot straddles the sides of the pedal hole. Push the cover all the way down and carefully push the wires down.
Replace the pedal's bottom plate and screw it down. That's it!
    Helpful Note:
If you used duct or electrical tape to cover the pedal's hole, use some WD-40 or brake cleaner on a rag to remove the adhesive residue. Don't spray anything onto or into the pedal.
