Description
Up for
sale is a vintage hard-to-find 1976 “ICECUBE” Sustain Coupler from JHD Audio in
California. THIS IS USABLE FOR FENDER AMPS DATED 1977 or earlier. You can see their
vintage ads in Guitar Player magazines from 1976-78, or see the instructions on
Google, where someone has posted a copy of them. This example of the Icecube comes
with no original box or instructions, works fine, and the only condition issue
is that there is a corner chip on the one of the corners in the back (which is
very common for these because they are brittle). For those unfamiliar with
these, they are a 70s innovative solid-state alternative to using the built in Fender
amps reverb and they provide MORE GAIN. On the back of the 77’ or earlier
Fender amp (you would want “Icecube II” for Fender amps dated 1978 and later),
you simply unplug the input and output cables leading to the reverb, and plug
in the Icecube. Shipping charge shown is only for the continental USA, the
lower 48 U.S. states.
